Well I finally decided to choose the company, "Wall Crawler Rock Club" to work on. Here are some of the rough (extremely rough) drafts I have started toying for ideas about a logo design with...hmmm....

Decisons, decisions...

Goal: pick one out of three possible "mom and pop" companies from the Atlanta area that would provide room to artistically explore the design process for a company.
1. The Goat Farm Arts Center is a major visual & performing arts center in Atlanta. What was once an underutilized historic site went through a major expansion and was given new form in 2009. Part of the expansion opened up 20,000 square feet dedicated to five new performance and exhibition halls and spaces. The Center now hosts classical & contemporary music concerts, traditional and experimental theatrical performances, film screenings, contemporary dance performances and art exhibitions.

The expansion also added a cafe/library, an on-site organic farm, a 5000 square foot sprung floor for contemporary dance, newly built creative studios now occupied by more than 300 artists and an education center that provides youth based creative programs through resident organizations One Love Generation, The Creatives Project and (W)ink. The Goat Farm is also home to resident performance companies gloATL, Saiah Theater and The Collective Project Inc.

The Center also houses two artist in residency programs through affiliate organizations The Creatives Project and Mint Gallery. Recently added are professional ballet and contemporary dance classes through its award winning resident dance troupe gloATL.

The Arts Center's vision is "to push culture forward through comprehensive support of the arts". Primarily exploring experimental and innovative works the Goat Farm is a laboratory where creative risk is nurtured & celebrated. The Goat Farm executes this mission through an unconventional for-profit arts model and does not operate on public funding, donations or grants.

Your eyes will thank you

Here are some examples of logos I just adore, hope you enjoy!
I do L<3ve my coffee, as well as this cute design!

Notice the d and b for the birds eyes (which are kept lower case in for the typographical element as well)...well done, well done!

Ahhh, my classic favorite! Typography used at its finest!

I love this! Its a pretty design with image use thats not over kill so that you still focus on the name as well.

Simple yet effective, two words that will never go out of style in the design world.

You bad, bad logos!!

Here are some examples of logos that I find just awful:
Genieo is a computer software available for Macs...and no it is not associated with Target.

You're kidding me, right?!

...I am sorry but whoever designed this...TOOO many ideas are trying to be translated here, keep it simple!

Well you don't win for my idea of an origional good logo, let Disney keep their typography.
Get your head out of the gutter! It's supposed to be an Asain styled building in front of the sun, silly!

2-D Design work (from two semesters ago)

This was the first of two pieces from my concentration series: The destruction of mother nature. The project was free range in everything from media to size to subject matter. I chose to complete this first portion of the project using acrylic paint and unfinished wood.

mmmh gettin the hang of this whole graphic design thing

Here is two pieces I did for my Intro to Graphic Design course last term...I think I am really starting to like the computer for more than wasting time now!
This piece was a conceptual ad for a pre-existing company (http://www.stumbleupon.com/)
This was the final draft for the first attempt of creating an event flyer for a concert I saw.

Something soothing

This is an illustration completely done in mechanical pencil that I did for fun. This was the first piece I have done in a long time that was outside of course work and I fondly think of my artistic sanity in manifestation. I hope you love this as much as I do: this is my heart and soul right here!
